Welty Nature Rendezvous 2011 Recap
Great time at the Welty Nature Rendezvous today! Lower turnout than the Welty staff had hoped, but it's hard to predict these things in summer. The thunderstorms held off, which was good – bad weather might make great photos, but it can make for a lousy walk-and-talk!
Not a lot of people on the walk-and-talks, but it was fun nonetheless. One couple is heading to Alaska later this year, and I was happy to be able to offer them some photo tips based on my recent visit. (I'm running behind, but more info and pics about that trip will be up soon, I promise!)
The Welty Environmental Center is a great resource for the Beloit / Stateline area, and I'm happy to have done a little something to help them out. My thanks to everyone at Welty for inviting me to be a part of the Nature Rendezvous, and I hope to be back next year!
